Village Health Camps in Kigezi Region, Uganda

Uganda continues to face serious development challenges in health, with national rates of mortality among the highest in the world. Maternal and child mortality is most prevalent in Kigezi, a rural region in SW Uganda, where access to healthcare is lower than in urban areas. These rates result from the prevalence of poverty related diseases. KIHEFO conducts general community health camps and specific clinics like HIV/testing screening, detection of cervical cancer, nutrition screening, eye tests, and dental brigade clinics. Professionals from all health disciplines are welcome!. Dentists, general practitioners, opticians, nurses, physicians, family doctors, opthymoligists

Costs always include; supplies logistics as specified on trip plan, ground transportation, local language translation, accommodation and optional safari tours. Costs exclude air ticket, Visa and items of personal nature. For more information on how to register email: kihefo@kihefo.org.
